Privacy Policy

Effective DateJan 1, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Tecton Arch collects, uses, and safeguards personal information when you visit our website, submit an enquiry, or enter into a spatial commission with the studio.

We collect as little as the work requires, and we do not sell personal information under any circumstances.

1. Information We Collect

We collect only what you provide to us and what is necessary to operate the website:

  • Details you submit through an enquiry or contact form, including your name, email address, telephone number, and the description of your project.
  • Your email address if you subscribe to the Journal.
  • Correspondence you send to the studio by email or post.
  • Aggregate, non-identifying usage statistics such as page views and referring sources.

2. How We Use Information

Enquiry details are used to evaluate and respond to a potential commission. Subscriber addresses are used solely to send the Journal. Usage statistics are used to understand which work is being read and to maintain the performance of the website. We do not use your information for automated decision-making or profiling.

3. Legal Basis

Where the United Kingdom GDPR applies, we process enquiry details on the basis of taking steps at your request prior to entering into a contract, subscriber addresses on the basis of your consent, and usage statistics on the basis of our legitimate interest in maintaining the website.

4. Retention

Enquiry records are retained for twenty-four months from the date of last contact, after which they are deleted unless a commission is active or a legal obligation requires a longer period. Subscriber addresses are retained until you unsubscribe. Project records connected to a signed Client Agreement are retained for the term set out in that agreement.

5. Disclosure

We disclose personal information only to the service providers that operate our website, email, and file storage, and only to the extent required for them to perform that function. We may also disclose information where required by law or to establish or defend a legal claim. We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information.

6. International Transfers

Some of our service providers operate outside the United Kingdom. Where information is transferred internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards, including standard contractual clauses, to protect it.

7. Cookies

The website uses only the cookies necessary for it to function and for privacy-friendly, aggregate visitor measurement. We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking. You can block cookies in your browser without losing access to the content of the site.

8. Security

Enquiries and subscriptions are transmitted over encrypted connections and stored in access-controlled systems. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we ask that you avoid sending confidential documents, plans, or financial details through the website forms.

9. Your Rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access to the personal information we hold about you, ask that it be corrected or erased, object to or restrict its processing, withdraw consent at any time, and request a copy in a portable format. Write to studio@tectonarch.com and we will respond within one month.

10. Children

The website is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 18. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact us and we will delete it.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. The revised version will be posted on this page with a new Effective Date, and continued use of the website after that date means you accept the revised Policy.

12. Contact Information

For any question about this Policy or about how your information is handled, write to studio@tectonarch.com, 123 Design District, London, UK, or call +44 (0) 20 7123 4567.
